4-Day Maasai Mara & Lake Nakuru Safari- Best Big Cats & Flamingos Trip

Your 4-day Maasai Mara safari begins with pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or the airport by your professional safari guide. Head out of the city and make your first stop at a scenic viewpoint over the Great Rift Valley, taking in sweeping views of this iconic stretch before continuing your journey. Your next stop is Narok Town, gateway to the Maasai Mara, before continuing to the reserve.

On arrival, check in to your selected lodge or camp for lunch, then set off on your first Maasai Mara game drive from 3:30 PM until late afternoon, keeping an eye out for lion, elephant, and the resident wildlife of the Mara plains. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Enjoy a picnic bush lunch out in the wild, before continuing your afternoon game drive. Return to camp by 4:30 PM, followed by dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Afterward, depart the Mara and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, one of Kenya's most picturesque parks, sheltering both black and white rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, and the park's famous tree-climbing lions. On arrival, enjoy an optional boat ride safari on Lake Nakuru for a unique view of the pelicans and flamingo flocks that call the lake home. Check in to Buraha Zenoni Hotel by 3:30 PM for some relaxation or a swim, followed by dinner and overnight.

Enjoy a morning game drive through Lake Nakuru National Park starting at 6:30 AM, exploring until 12:00 PM. Look out for the park's diverse wildlife including the Rothschild giraffe, tree-climbing lions, black and white rhinos, and over 450 bird species, along with the lesser and greater flamingos painting the lake pink and the scenic Makalia Falls. Afterward, depart for Lake Naivasha for lunch en route, before continuing the drive back to Nairobi.
